Arkansas Cure partnering with local and national organizations is dedicated to Criminal Justice Reform; Juvenile Justice Reform and working to ensure the best rehabilitation programs possible for those who find themselves in the justice system.
Goals are Juvenile Justice Reform
Currently working on a couple of bills that would involve people sentenced as children to adult prisons:
Amend Act 539 of 2017 to Under 21.
Currently it allows people sentenced as adults for crimes committed as children under the age of 18; serving life sentences eligible for parole after 25 & 30 years. Our bill would allow anyone whose crime was committed under the age of 21 to be eligible.
Another of our bills is to develop Elder Parole for people over a certain age to be eligible for parole where they otherwise would not be.
Working to end segregation abuse.
There are a few other bills as well that we are planning to file for the session
